What you say about Twitter is very true. The two social media network sites are used for different purposes in a way. Twitter is a favourite by celebrities, politicians and other public figures and it's a great platform for them to spread their message. Facebook is mainly a site for friends to stay in contact, share pictures and chat. I think a lot of people prefer Facbook because like you said, it's more private. I guess it depends on what your purpose is. To talk to friends or spread a message!

You hit the nail on the head. I tried to promote my website about the canon camera battery on Facebook and switched to Twitter and it made a huge difference. I also use it for affiliate products on clickbank ;). Everyone should really follow what he just said!

Those are all very valid points you made, however, I still prefer Facebook over Twitter.

Many of the people on Twitter seem to abuse their posting and feel it's okay to continually bombard people with sales promos. I'm also not particularly interested in reading what a person had for breakfast. :-)

I think the people on Facebook are more realistic and sincere and you can build much better relationships with them. Of course that is just my personal opinion.

Great article Hirfan! All good points, but in my view the best reason Twitter is better than Facebook is that allows you to increase quickly the number of followers, however I prefer the Facebook interface to Twitter yet.

Well, great post. However, if you take my opinion, I will facebook above Twitter. I find it much more interactive and feature rich than Twitter. Probably, you are right with your points, but still I find facebook much better against Twitter.
