Facebook groups are popular than fan pages before,but its time for the domination of fan pages in facebook to get more exposure.We can say facebook is the king of Social media optimization(SMO) as google for search engine optimization(SEO).The key features in which fan pages better than group are : 

1.You can import rss feeds via notes in fan page but you cant import rss feeds in group.

 2.As an admin,you can able to track insights in fan page such as active users,new likes,post views and feedback etc..,But you are not able to see insights in facebook groups.

3.An another important feature of fan page is,they are indexed by search engines but groups are not crawled by search engines.

4.Any visitor can able to see fan pages without being a facebook member but groups can be seen only to the members of facebook.

5.You are able to use only small logo for  facebook groups as group picture but you are able to upload a big logo(200*600 pixels) for fan pages.

6.You can able to set different landing pages for fan page showing different content to fans and non-fans but groups lacks this feature.

7.You are able to customize your fan page by adding new applications such as static FBML,polls,quizzes etc.., but you are not able to add applications in groups.

8.You are able to add new tabs section in fan pages to show your twitter updates,public profiles etc.., but you are not able to add new tabs in groups.

9.You are able to get a vanity URL for fan page but you are not able to get vanity URL to groups.

10.You are able to see the number of your facebook friends joined in fan page as an admin but group has no such feature.

11.You are able to promote fan pages in websites and blogs as a widget but you are not able to promote groups in websites or blogs.

12.You are able to get more fans for fan pages without limits(till now) but you are not able to get more members for groups as they have limits.If your group members exceeded a limit of 5000 members,then facebook admin can take control over it.

13.Members are able to promote their links in groups letting spammers and others posting useless links such as affiliate links,links which are not related to the group etc..,.But only admin of the fan page are able to post links in their fan pages.As a matter of fact,in both groups and fan pages,members and fans are allowed to post their links repectively.But if you disable posting links for members in group,then the group becomes dead as their will be no more further participation of members.

14.Fan pages are better for clients to make a long relationship with them and to get a good followership for you.

15.You are able to communicate with your fans easily via fan pages unlike in groups.

16.You are able to run contests in fanpages to get viral exposure but you are not able to make contests in groups.

17.You can able to promote both groups and fan pages in facebook via social ads but fan pages get more visibility than groups as it shows the number of fans liked the fan page.

18.You are able to promote yourself as a public figure via your personal fan page,the one which you are not able to do via groups.

19.You are able to promote your other fan pages in your existing one but you are not able to promote your group through your another group.

20. Your fans are able to subscribe your fan page updates via SMS but groups has no such feature like it.

So,What are the points which i missed in the above list ?
